Meet Our Directors

The work of  Lawson Neel MedBank is overseen and guided by an Executive Director and an enthusiastic, engaged and diverse Board.  With gratitude for their passionate dedication and compassionate service, we are proud to introduce our current Directors.   

James (Eddie) Smith,  President: Retired Physician; Active Member First United Methodist Church; volunteer with Food Bank of Thomas County.

Jim Falconer, Vice President: Retired employee benefits consulting and health and life claims management; past assistant Scoutmaster; served in key leadership positions on various non-profit boards in Arlington, Texas before retiring and moving to Thomasville; active member First United Methodist; volunteer Thomas County Food Bank and Lawson Neel MedBank.

John W. Ogburn, Secretary: Retired from government service after 42 years, the last position as Operations Manager of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Mobile Emergency Response Detachment in Thomasville, GA.  Mr. Ogburn is active within the Masonic and Shriner organizations and has been a volunteer with Hands of Thomas County and the Lawson Neel MedBank since 2004. 

Barry Pollock, Treasurer: Vice President and Credit Officer for Thomas County Federal Savings & Loan Association; member and Director of the Thomasville Kiwanis Club and past President of the Cairo Kiwanis Club; active member of First Baptist Church of Thomasville.

Michael (Mike) Bixler: Owner and President of MarketLink, Inc., a 22-year old firm specializing in consumer and marketing research; member and Elder of First Presbyterian Church; Trustee of the First Presbyterian Church Planned Giving Trust; Honorary Member and former Director of the Rotary Club of Thomasville; founder of SafeDrive; founding member of steering committee for Halcyon Home; Emeritus Trustee and former Chairman of the Foundation Board for Southwest Georgia Technical College. 

Regina (Snookie) Mcrea Brown: Part owner of Thomasville Flower Shop; member and editor of the bulletin of Thomasville Kiwanis Club; Past Board member of the American Red Cross; member of the Thomas County Family Connection; member of the Briarcliff Garden Club; member of the Women’s Forum; Chairperson 2006 Archbold Auxiliary Tea; active in the state-run literacy CLCP program that promotes literacy in children and adults; and member of Barnett’s Creek Baptist Church.

Charles R. (Dicky) DeMott: Retired President of Southwest Georgia Technical College after 42 years of service in education, including 27 years as President; member of Gideon International for 36 years and serving as Area Director; Faith Fund Director for 3 years and currently serving as Georgia State President; serving on boards of Lawson Neel MedBank, Salvation Army, and Marguerite Williams Boys and Girls Club; and member of First Baptist Church.

Holly Jones: Sales Consultant for Fieldstone Marketing; member of First Presbyterian Church; past Board Member for Habitat for Humanity, Junior League of Montgomery, Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts and Jefferson Davis High School (Montgomery, Alabama).

 Thelma Jones: Retired Registered Nurse after 43 full time years of service as a healthcare provider. Last position held was Nurse Manager for twenty-five years. Member of Clifford Temple Christian Methodist Episcopal Church; serves on the Stewardess Board, a choir member, missionary, and coordinator of the kitchen/hospitality committee. Volunteer at the Thomas County Food Bank and Civic Garden Club.

Chris Newman: Assistant Director of Pharmacy Operations at John D. Archbold Memorial Hospital; University of Georgia and South University School of Pharmacy Preceptor; active member First United Methodist Church; Leadership Thomasville 2010 - Chamber of Commerce.

Laine Reichert: Director of Human Resources, Thomas County Schools; member of Thomasville First United  Methodist Church and Thomasville Kiwanis Club; member of Young Life of Thomasville Board; serves on State-wide Human Resources Committee with the Georgia Professional Standards Commission; member of Georgia Association of School Personnel Administrators; member of Georgia Association of Educational Leaders

Almeda D. Simpson: Assistant Vice President for Clinical Community Outreach at John D. Archbold Memorial Hospital; past Clinical associate faculty at Florida A & M University; past School of Pharmacy Preceptor for University of Georgia and Florida A & M University; past member of Board of Directors for Communities in Schools, Thomasville Community Resource Center and Southwest Georgia Area Health Education Center; active member First Missionary Baptist Church as President of Deaconess, Sunday School Teacher and member of the Choir; past member Southwest Georgia Technical College Pharmacy Technology Advisory Board; past chairman of Thomasville City School Board serving as member 10 years; past Board Member of American Red Cross; graduate of Leadership 2000 - Chamber of Commerce.

 Don Sims: President of the Thomasville-Thomas County Chamber of Commerce; Board of Directors Southwest Georgia Technical College and first Chairman of the Brooks, Colquitt, Grady, Mitchell and Thomas County Development Authority; member of First United Methodist Church.

Stephen Sullivan: Principal Member of The Sullivan Firm, LLC, Attorneys at Law.  Board member of Thomasville Christian School; Board Member of Thomas County Food Bank; Former Board Member of Thomasville Landmarks; active member of Christ Community Presbyterian Church.

Edward Titus, Jr.: Professor of Psychology Troy University; Retired Navy Captain; past Chairman of Southwest Georgia Regional Development Center; past Chairman of An Open Door Adoption Agency; past President of Thomasville Rotary Club and Assistant Governor for Rotary.

Rebecca Brook: Original and current Executive Director, Lawson Neel MedBank Inc.; Active member First United Methodist Church; Past board member Family Connections, McIntyre Park Middle School, and Thomasville Area Soccer Association; Member of National Association of Social Workers as a Licensed Master Social Worker.
